Budget Jones, formerly Kev Katchi and one half of Glasgow based duo Homebass DJ’s, cut his teeth in one of the most beloved club scenes in the world. As a resident of both the iconic ‘Arches’ (RIP) and whilst co-curating his own venture at the world famous ’Sub Club’, Budget worked alongside artists such as the soon-to-be Denis Sulta, Stephan Bodzin, Ellen Allien and Hey today! to name but a few, sharing the hallowed booths with long standing clubbing institutions like Optimo (Espacio),  pressure andSubculture.  In this time Homebass DJ’s were responsible for bringing one of the UK’s biggest  sound systems to Glasgow, the first time in the form of Elektrikal, and maintained a weekly residency at the insanely popular Tingle Bar for over 6 years.

Now based in Barcelona and with over a decade of experience at his disposal, Budget’s own brand of mashup-esque, quick mixing and eclectic ‘no holds barred’ approach to track selection sets him apart from the crowd and whilst definitely being rooted in his Glasgow clubbing upbringing, draws on inspiration from every inch of the musical spectrum and all corners and corridors of house music. Behind the scenes Kev is currently working hard to curate his new project ‘Malo Disco’ and bring his unique brand of party to Barcelona, already linking up with UK house music legend Danny Mekanik of Candy Flip/Soul Mekanik and sharing booths with Opoku of Jokkoo and keen local DJ/selector Hanakito, again to name only a few.

If the last decade is anything to go by, expect a hardworking and technical DJ, discerning selector and when all is said and done - someone who just loves to smash a party.

Since first getting his hands on the decks Will has been hooked. Living in Liverpool as a student, Will was given his first set and has never looked back. His love of UK music coupled perfectly with his interest in all things Hispanic so playing out in Spain was always a goal for him… Since moving to Barcelona in 2019, he has continued to hone his skills whilst developing his own particular style. From busy city centre venues to beach parties, a Masia (and even a castle!!), the list of places he has now played with WonK keeps growing. Not only this, he is also playing regular sets for other collectives such as Overtone, Radio Nossa and Funk It! to name but a few. Wether it be opening, closing or somewhere in the middle, his varied library of tunes, ranging from hip hop to garage, and everything in between, will be sure to get you up and moving.

Emily (aka Mimsy) had her musical upbringing in Manchester, a city known for their uncompromising attitude towards music and highly regarded as one of the UK’s premier destinations for party goers and creatives alike. While immersed in this diverse scene, Emily’s growing passion for exploring new music led her to discover Manchester-based record label and DJ collective ‘Red Laser Records’. This was a defining moment, it inspired the unique love and respect for italo disco that have come to epitomise Mimsy’s sets, also introducing her to the idea of mixing music without limits or boundaries.

Since moving to Barcelona in 2018 Emily’s passion for sharing music has continued to evolve, most notably in the form of flagship club night ‘Wonk’ with UK house pioneer Danny Mekanik. The project has saw her work with internationally renowned DJ’s and stalwarts of the local scene, in diverse venues both in-and-out of the city. Emily is also currently involved in several other projects including the recent completion of a 10K sound system with ‘Wonk’ partner Danny and regularly collaborating with other local promoters to create new, unique experiences.  As a DJ Mimsy brings a passion and integrity to the booth that can only be described as pure, sharing music without any barriers and with one clear objective – to make the audience feel the way she did at her first ‘Red Laser’ event. Her diverse and constantly expanding catalogue of music reflect a keen selector, but it is her roots in club culture and appreciation for the art of mixing that make her a formidable DJ.
